Philippa d’Ews Thomson – RIPE Project
Philippa works on the RIPE Project (Realizing Increased Photosynthetic Efficiency). RIPE is a multi-institutional research project that aims to engineer plants that more efficiently turn the sun’s energy into food to sustainably increase worldwide food productivity. The RIPE project is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Philippa works as a technical assistant for the Whitney lab at ANU.
She completed her honours in mammalian embryology at RSBS in 2008 with the Arkell Lab before returning to work in Plant Sciences in the Whitney lab in 2013.
