Optional Conference Activities
To complement the conference program, several optional activities have been planned in and around the conference which you may wish to participate in. They are as follows:
Tour of the High Resolution Plant Phenomics Facility
A tour of the world leading technology and innovation on offer at this national facility. Plant physiology meets machine vision and robotics to scan plants in 3D and automatically analyse structure and function to link phenome to genome.
Trip to Murramarang Beachfront Nature Resort
Take a dip into Australian life with this day trip to the beach. Self-guided nature walks, sea kayaking, surfing lessons and good old fashioned beachside relaxing will all be available during this one day activity.
Tour of the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment
This facility is rapidly becoming the leading centre of research excellence in ecosystem function and environmental responses to changing climates. The HIE incorporates a unique suite of world-class research facilities that will be showcased during this one day tour that begins in Canberra and ends at the Sydney International Airport.
Additional guests
If you would like to bring an additional guest to one of the listed events, you may do so by requesting to purchase two of the items on the registration page. If the event the additional guest would like to attend is the Farewell BBQ, there is a separate line item listed as ‘Farewell BBQ for additional guest’ on the registration page.
