Jan Anderson

Dr Anderson’s primary research interest is the molecular organisation of thylakoid plant membranes, specifically the significance of lateral heterogeneity in the distribution of the photosystems and the molecular dynamics of grana stacking and the molecular mechanisms of light regulation in higher plants.

She has worked on the functional/structural dynamics of photosystem II and  focuses on the elucidation of the dynamic structural organisation of the thylakoid memberane architecture.

She is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and received a Centenary medal in 2011.
