Bratati Mukerjee

Bratati Mukherjee worked with the Price lab at ANU.

Bratati did her PhD with Prof Jim Moroney (a RIPE-CCM team member, Louisiana State University) on the molecular biology and physiology of the CO2 concentrating mechanism in Chlamydomonas (green micro-alga).

Bratati’s work focused on processes involved in light activation of cyanobacterial bicarbonate transporters, and how these tricks might eventually be used for sophisticated control of bicarbonate transporters in the chloroplast of C3 crop plants.

 

Bratati was part of the Centre from 2014 to 2017
