
Christie Foster
Dr Christie Foster was a Research Technical Assistant (Plant Biochemistry) working within the WSU node, situated in the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment. Christie conducted research investigating the photosynthetic pigment-protein complexes of C4 plants as part of the research group led by Oula Ghannoum.
Christie completed her PhD in 2015 at the University of Sydney, with her thesis focusing on the biology of the photosynthetic microalga Chromera velia. Christie also holds a BSc (Molecular Biology and Genetics) with Class I Honours from the University of Sydney.
Christie’s areas of research and interests include biochemistry, photobiology, plant biology, microbiology, and molecular biology.
