Eiri Heyno (RIPE project)

Eiri was a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre’s ANU Node, under the supervision of  Centre’s Deputy Director Professor Susanne von Caemmerer. Eiri’s research focused on improving cellular CO2 diffusion and photosynthetic electron transport, as part of the Realising Increased Photosynthetic Efficiency (RIPE) project. Eiri did her PhD in 2009 in CEA Saclay (France) on ROS production in plant membranes. Then she moved to Weizmann Institute of Science ( Israel ) for two years work on plant pathogen interactions. After that she returned to France for three years to work on Mn homeostasis, and finally she went to Ruhr University Bochum (Germany) to work on PSII mutagenesis.

Eiri was part of the Centre from 2020 to 2021
