Gonzalo Estavillo
Gonzalo was using gas exchange, stable isotopes and chlorophyll fluorescence to investigate photosynthetic characteristics of plants, especially crops.
He also has extensive experience in several areas of plant physiology and molecular biology, including those of biochemistry and molecular biology of photosynthesis (C3 and C4), plant responses to abiotic stresses and intracellular communication.
He obtained a PhD in Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida in 2006, and a Bachelor in Biotechnology from the National University of Rosario, Argentina in 1996.
Gonzalo currently works in Program 3, Exploiting Photosynthetic variation, and in the Plant Physiology Lab in CSIRO Agriculture Flagship.
Gonzalo was part of the Centre from 2014 to 2021
