
Hilary Stuart-Williams
Hilary was part of the Farquhar Laboratory. His research focused on researching the distribution of water isotopes in plants and plant products and starting compound specific examination of plant compounds such as carbohydrates and waxes.
He holds an Archaeology and Geology B.A. Joint Honours, University of Bristol (1976) and a Geology, PhD, McMaster University. Canada (1996)
Hilary’s key areas of expertise include stable isotopes in natural and organic systems, plus the equipment and methods used to analyse them, mass spectrometry, carbon and water isotopes in plants and plant compounds, water isotopes in mammals and mammalian products such as structural phosphates and processing of phosphates for isotope examination.
