Megan Hemming
Megan was the Centre’s Chief Operating Officer from April 2015 to May 2016, leading the Professional services Team.
Megan’s key areas of expertise were in research and analytics, research project and program management, financial, contractual and IP management, client relationship management, industry engagement and events management.
Megan was passionate about building links between the world of academic research and the world of government and industry, so that the amazing research happening all around Australia can have a real impact on our global future.
Megan obtained her BSc and MSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Auckland in 1994 and 1996. She obtained her PhD in Plant Molecular Genetics from the Australian National University in 2005. After completing her PhD, Megan worked at the CSIRO for twelve years; firstly as a Postdoctoral Fellow and then as a Research Scientist focusing on identifying genes that control the way cereal crops grow and develop.
