Philippa d’Ews Thomson – RIPE Project

Philippa worked on the RIPE Project (Realizing Increased Photosynthetic Efficiency). RIPE was a multi-institutional research project that aims to engineer plants that more efficiently turn the sun’s energy into food to sustainably increase worldwide food productivity. The RIPE project was funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Philippa worked as a technical assistant for the Whitney lab at ANU.

She completed her honours in mammalian embryology at RSBS in 2008 with the Arkell Lab before returning to work in Plant Sciences in the Whitney lab in 2013.

Philippa was part of the Centre from 2015 to 2017
