John Lovett – Advisory Board Chair

John Lovett, Professor Emeritus at the University of New England, where he previously held the Chair in Agronomy. He was a foundation member of the Board of the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) and served as Managing Director from 1994 to 2003. He has also been Board Chair for the CRC for Greenhouse Accounting, the CRC for National Plant Biosecurity Ltd and its successor the Plant Biosecurity CRC Ltd, and Agrifood Awareness Australia Ltd. John Lovett was a foundation member of the Board of the Global Crop Diversity Trust and is a member of the ACT Gene Technology Advisory Committee.

John was the Chair of the Centre’s advisory board from 2014 to 2021
