Soumi Bala

Soumi worked in the von Caemmerer Lab at The Australian National University. Her expertise included gas exchange and stable isotope measurements during gas exchange.

Soumi makes stable isotope exchange measurement of 13C and 18O of CO2 using a Campbell scientific tuneable diode laser and measurements of 18O in water vapour with a Piccaro cavity ring down laser.

Soumi is an expert in biochemical measures of photosynthesis including measurements of enzyme activities etc as well as basic molecular biology skills.

Soumi was part of the Centre from 2014 to 2021
